Fancy having a go at making your own sausage, Pork Pie or Charcuterie?

If you fancy having a go or even booking a session as a gift idea for someone or a group of people then you can.

Below is a selection of the experience days on offer.

in addition to the experiences listed further below there are also some one off dates for different experience days.


BBQ £50 - Saturday 15th July 2017 18:00 - 21:00 Hands on experience preparing delicious dishes for the BBQ. Includes cooking and tasting what you prepared and produce to take home.

Charcuterie £120 - Saturday 2nd September 18:00 - 21:00 Curing and smoking meats in a variety of different methods. Includes a 2 course dinner and the Charcuterie you prepared your self to take. 

Additional place can be booked for the meal at £15 and share the produce to take home.

Sausage Making.

Saturday 17th June & 19th August 2017, 18:00 - 20:00​

A good fun course having a go at making your own sausages. Includes a 2 course meal and approximately 2 KG sausages to take home. An additional place can be booked for the meal at £15 and share the produce to take home.

Children's Sausage Making. £25

Saturday 6th May 2017, 10:00 till 12.30

A good fun course having a go at making your own sausages. Includes lunch and approximately 1 KG sausages to take home.

Pork Butchery.

£120

Saturday 27th May & 29th July 2017 17:00 - 21:30

A hands on experience butchering pork with a few cookery tips for each cut of meat. Includes a 2 course dinner and ¼ of a pig you butchered your self to take home. An additional place can be booked for the meal at £15 and share the produce to take home.

Children's Pork Butchery.

Saturday 12th August 2017 10:00 - 13:00

A hands on experience preparing cuts of meat from a side of pork with a few cookery tips for each cut of meat. Includes lunch and some of the pork you prepared your self to take home.

Pork Pie Making.

Thursday 24th June & 16th September 2017,18:00 - 20:00

Hands on pork pie making. 2 course meal included and you take home the pies you prepare, these will need cooking at home. An additional place can be booked for the meal at £15 and share the produce to take home.

I had the joy of chatting and buying a couple of sausages from the Chesterfield Artesian Market today. I tried the Cajun Pork. Such a delight. The mix of cheese and jalapeño strikes through the pork to make a delicious sausage that is not too hot but leaves a nice warm glow (just as described). Well worth the price, so much so I will be back at the next market.a true speciality sausage and I can't wait to try out some of the other sausages.
